Jason has written two full-length original plays: Loradil and History: Or Why We Killed Mr. Wellington.
With his wife Becca Johnson-Spinos, he has written six play adaptations that have performed at Outcry Youth Theatre: Alice in Wonderland, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Legend of Arthur, The Madness of Edgar Allan Poe, The Great Gatsby, and The Picture of Dorian Gray. Solo adaptations include The Time Machine for Outcry Youth Theatre and House of Stairs for Outcry Theatre. Jason wrote book and lyrics for a new musical adaptation of Anne of Green Gables with music by Michael Ramirez.
His short children's play, The Kingdom of Dragons, is available from Drama Notebook.
Jason participated six years in a row as a playwright for the Dallas One-Minute Play Festival (2014 – 2019) put on by Kitchen Dog Theater in partnership with the One-Minute Play Festival. Select plays are available for reading below.
